The lunatics are running the asylum that is Congress.

At a moment when nearly two-thirds of US corporations [1] don’t pay any federal income taxes, and companies are sitting on trillions [2] in cash while refusing to hire new workers, the only thing we hear when it comes to tax reform is that we need to cut the corporate tax rate.

You just can’t make this stuff up.

President Obama has a historic opportunity to step up and be a hero…or else fiddle while Rome burns.  The silence is deafening from the White House on the Radical Right's attacks on labor, education and democracy.  This is your time to shine, Mr. President.  Americans are aching to follow a strong leader who has a straight and undiluted charge.

America is not broke.

Contrary to what those in power would like you to believe so that you'll give up your pension, cut your wages, and settle for the life your great-grandparents had, America is not broke. Not by a long shot. The country is awash in wealth and cash. It's just that it's not in your hands. It has been transferred, in the greatest heist in history, from the workers and consumers to the banks and the portfolios of the uber-rich.
